Welcome to Morspeed performance tuning

Any serious race engine builder will use an engine dyno to extract the last drop of BHP to gain maximum results, it allows the operator to first 'bed' the engine in under a controlled load for 1 hour whilst the dyno is checking oil pressure, water temp, cylinder compression loss, valve leak down and mixtures. After the run in period is over a power test will be performed.

This methord is far superior than a rolling road as the engine remains on the dyno for over 2 days (approx 5 hours running time) for many tests which include different camshaft profiles, altering cam/ignition timing, changing induction inlet size & filters, various size exhaust manifolds etc...after each alteration a power & torque test is carried out untill we can find the optimum set up.

Once the dyno session is finished the end product is a 'turn key' engine all run in and ready to race with genuine detailed power/torque figures, this information is provided to you along with every other detail of how the engine was performing during the session.
